Above the Fog
There is something magical about being up above the fog. It’s like looking down on the clouds from an airplane; you feel that if you jumped, you’d land in a downy bed so soft that you’d never want to get out. At least that is how it felt to me as I watched the fog slowly roll in over the Strait of Juan de Fuca, fingers seeping into every nook and cranny along the coastline until the water was fully engulfed. Up here, the dazzling sunset belied the pea soup conditions being experienced by those at the shore. It was a good night to be up high.
