Bring Your Blanket
Living in the Pacific Northwest, by November, I start really missing those dog days of summer. The weather is colder, the rain is heavier, and the blustery days are more frequent. So when I saw some afternoon sun break through on this November afternoon, I knew I had to high-tail it to the beach.
What I found waiting was a surrealist sunset. An amazing technicolor dreamcoat. A swirly Candyland lollipop of color that obscured any distinction between sky, water, and beach. The ideal place to spread my blanket and sit awhile.
