All Things Possible
As I stood under the stars, the dams of my brain tore loose and memories flooded out. I was a kid at the campfire with loved ones, many of whom are no longer here and who I like to think are part of these starry skies now. I was back in the islands camping, watching for falling stars and listening for whales to pass by. I was commercial fishing with my sister on a still night on the bay, a couple young women taking on a man’s world. I was experiencing the darkest skies of Death Valley with my best friend for the first time again.
For me, the night sky represents timelessness, a link to both past and future. Shaped by the memories of my past, I move forward towards infinite possibilities waiting to be discovered.
